Milan and Pedersen Celebrate Double Victory at the Start of Lidl Deutschland Tour 2024
Jonathan Milan claimed victory in the prologue of the Lidl Deutschland Tour 2024, finishing the 2.9 km course through Schweinfurt seven-tenths faster than teammate Mads Pedersen. The 23-year-old Italian secured both the Blue Leader’s Jersey and White Young Rider Jersey. Pedersen will wear the Green Jersey in Stage 1. Max Walscheid (German National Team) received the fan-voted Community Jersey.
Milan's preparation for the Olympics, where he won bronze in team pursuit, proved beneficial. He expressed his satisfaction and highlighted the team’s strong form. Stage 1 takes the riders from Schweinfurt to Heilbronn, covering 176.3 km with the first mountain classifications and sprints.
