The Pacific Chorus Frog inhabits the Pacific Northwest from southern Alaska to northern California. They live from sea level up to 10,000 feet in elevation. It is Washington's state amphibian and is a keystone species, meaning it has a disproportionately large effect on its natural environment relative to its abundance.
