He had an epistolary mania. He wrote a lot, a lot of letters.
There are a few letters in which Beksiński analyzes himself. One of the letters, when he was very interested in Jung, in the 1960s, he belonged to the Oneiron Circle of artists in Katowice.

Henryk Waniekm was also there, Urbanowicz was there and these artists from Oneiron experimented with LSD. Under the supervision of a doctor. He got this drug from somewhere and they all took it, they had injections ready to stop its effects, the nurses administered everything and everyone took it.

Of course, they were very willing because they wanted to experiment with drugs, and access was limited, but Beksiński refused. Beksiński did not want to do it because he was very afraid of going down to the basement of his soul. He was very afraid to go down to where he might discover something he wouldn't like.

What was hidden in the depths of Beksiński's soul? There was definitely something, he wasn't empty inside and only painted such paintings because he had nothing better to do, but he never tried to look into his soul like that
