Redmi 7 Specifications
The Redmi 7 had been teased and leaked quite heavily for a while now, with even Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun earlier sharing images of the device. Its specifications as such had also been a subject of many leaks and as it turns out, the specifications have now emerged to be in line with previous reports.
The Redmi 7 packs a 4000mAh battery and be powered by Snapdragon 632 processor. Much like the new Redmi Note 7 series, the Redmi 7 sports a 6.26-inch Dot Notch display. The phone also brings with it a dual camera setup on the back with a 12-megapixel and a secondary 8-megapixel sensor. The Redmi 7 comes in multiple colours like Blue, Red, and Black.
The Chinese version of the Redmi Note 7 Pro also comes with impressive specs. The phone brings with it the same 48 Megapixel camera that is found on the Indian variant and comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage much like the Indian one. The SoC on board is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC. The phone will also come with support for 18W fast charging. The display on the launched phone is 6.3-inch.
Both the Redmi 7 and Note 7 Pro get P2i nano-coating waterproofing.
Price and availability
The Redmi 7 has been launched at CNY 699 for the 2GB/16GB variant (Approx Rs 7,000), CNY 799 (approx Rs 8,000) for the 3GB/32GB and going all the way up to CNY 999 (approx Rs 10,000) for the 4GB/64GB top-end variant. For now, there is no word on the retail pricing for India. However, when it does make it across the border, expect the device to come bearing a similar price tag.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro, on the other hand with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage has been announced at CNY 1,599 and will go on sale in China starting March 22.
Xiaomi has announced the Redmi 7 in China in multiple colours including Black, Blue, Pink, Purple and Red.
