The state government should shut down all madrasas and get the pupils enrolled in other institutions, the High Court ruled in its ruling. The High Court ruled that it was unlawful to operate madrasas on government funds. This decision caused a commotion. Numerous Muslim organizations and madrasa operators challenged the ruling at the Supreme Court. According to madrasa operators, this decision will have an impact on 10,000 professors and 17 lakh pupils.
