The Yamaha bLU cRU Masterclass gives young MX and road racing riders the opportunity to prove their potential, both on and off the track, in front of the Yamaha bLU cRU Ambassadors and staff.
The 2021 edition took place just outside of Barcelona in Alcarras, and saw 21 young road racing talents and 13 MX future stars all hoping to earn a Yamaha Motor Europe-supported ride for their 2022 seasons.
Taking place at the Circuito d’Alcarrás, the road racers benefited from coaching by bLU cRU Ambassadors: Yamaha Rider Coach and Endurance World Championship racer Niccolò Canepa, FIM Superbike World Championship rider Andrea Locatelli, and bLU cRU and FIM Supersport World Championship rider Unai Orradre.
After two days of training and assessment, the two winners have now been announced, with both earning a spot on the 2022 Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup grid, with support from Yamaha.
For the motocross riders, bLU cRU Ambassador and former MXGP star Brian Jorgensen was on-hand to coach the youngsters, focusing on many elements of their riding, training and attitude.
Split into three classes, YZ125, YZ85 and YZ65, the three winners have also been announced, each receiving support in their respective European campaigns.
