Wave after wave Evan Valiere of Hawaii rose above his competition in the recent Triple Crown of Surfing Pipeline Masters contest. High scoring heats took him through to the quarterfinal where he simply ran out of waves.
Nevertheless an outstanding performance in what has been described as the biggest surf in the history of the event.
