This is from the demonstration celebrating 55 years of Swedish aikido in 2016. I think it’s the shortest demo I ever gave. But there was a reason for it:
Guest of honor to the event was Hombu Dojo-Cho Mitsuteru Ueshiba, who was also teaching at the seminar held the same weekend in Stockholm, Sweden. His demo was, of course, the last in the lineup. Shortly into my demo, I saw him waiting to go on, and he seemed very eager to do so. I couldn’t keep him waiting.
You can see in the video that my uke, Stephan Schröder ([ Ссылка ]) was quite surprised by the sudden ending to my demo. Others were, too. I’m not famous for keeping it short – nor for keeping my mouth shut all through :)
