La Familiale to La Pichard is a ski run of varying difficulties located at Mont-Sainte-Anne. The trails run from the summit of the ski area down to the base area and are located on the South Side of the resort. The trails begin to the skier's left of the top of the L'Étoile Filante gondola on La Familiale, a beginner run that gently runs across the summit ridge of the mountain. Eventually, the trail reaches the top of the L'Express du Sud chairlift, where I stayed to the left to ski onto La Pichard, an intermediate trail. The trail begins out mellow but eventually makes a sharp turn into a small but steep dip. The trail then gently continues down the mountain before merging back onto the bottom of La Familiale, which gently continues the rest of the way back to the base area.
Mont-Sainte-Anne is a ski resort located in Beaupré, Québec, Canada. The resort is located near the northern banks of the Saint Lawrence River on Québec Route 360, about a 35-minute drive northeast of Québec City, a 3-hour drive northeast of Montreal, and a 5-hour drive northeast of Ottawa, Ontario. The resort is known for its large vertical drop, its extensive trail network, and high snowfall totals. The ski area features skiing on both sides of the mountain with the South Side home to a variety of runs, including some of the most difficult runs in Eastern Canada which can be found near the Panorama Express chairlift, and the North Side featuring a series of shorter, mostly intermediate runs. The resort also offers an extensive night-skiing footprint, including the largest night-skiing vertical drop in Canada. The resort is owned by Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, which also owns nearby Stoneham Mountain Resort, as well as multiple resorts in the western provinces of Alberta and British Columbia. The resort is a partner on the Epic Pass, with full pass holders only receiving 7 days across all of the company's resorts.
