Here we do a short video comparison of the Brompton Spanninga Solo rear battery light versus Busch and Muller 2C Permanent
We often get asked questions about differences between these lights - so we made a short video to show them
The video shows the dimensions, power source and accessing the batteries / USB charging socket and finally how they look turned on in low light and riding down a dark country lane
The main difference for us is the power source
The Busch and Muller (B+M) 2C permanent uses an internal battery charged by a micro USB cable - so you can re-charge at work
The Spanninga Solo Battery uses 2 x AAA batteries
Both lights (unlike the previous Brompton battery light) are easy to change / recharge - with a tool free clip system to allow access to the batteries / usb charging socket
The dimensions and weight of both lights is pretty much the same (smaller compared to the previous Brompton battery rear light)
In our opinion, the B+M light is brighter and gives you better visibility to road lights - and we like the fact that it is rechargeable
Both can be fitted to 50mm / 80mm fittings - either on a standard rack or replacing the standard (50mm) Brompton rear reflector
