A short lived weekend for me! Strong run in qualifying had me P3. Poor start had me making my way back up the field. I'd just posted the fastest lap of the race so far, then (ironically my mate!) had an issue with the carpet lifting, which popped him onto the main straight where I collected him at terminal velocity.....
I elected to retire the car then, but to my surprise when I got home it looks like I'd only broken an arm and knocked some teeth out of the servo. I was expecting the alloy chassis to be carrying damage, but it's all level on a glass board. The body was probably on its last meeting, but that's definite now! Considering the scale of the impact, I was expecting much worse.
More importantly, Chris (the pink car) and myself had a proper laugh about this after the race. It sucks but a complete fluke accident. I had a couple of BD11/12 arms sitting, so he's back and complete again.
Now to eat my own bodyweight in Mince Pies, Turkey and pigs in blankets..... 😂😂
As ever, massive thanks to Modeltune.com for the awesome Protek power, MB Models for the help with the MS1.0 and the guys from UMCC for the event. The car was a missile all day, just the roll of the dice was against me! 🙈
Footage from Alfred too, he's quite the cameraman. I think we'll keep him. 😉
