Ferrari had previously introduced the bypass duct on the SF-23 last year, sparking interest among many. This duct pulls in air from the sidepod inlets and channels it onto the engine cover, creating a blowing effect that enhances the airflow on the engine cover.

The Ferrari engineering team has opted to bring back this specific feature on the SF-24. However, there is now an additional "deflector" positioned above the channel's outlet. This element attaches to the base of the Halo, likely serving to refine the airflow by "cleansing" it and directing it in a specific manner towards the rear of the car.
