6 month review of the Michelin Wild Enduro Front and Rear MTB Tyre in Magi X and Gum X Compounds on mud, wet roots, dust and snow.
This review talks about wild enduro tyre tread, cornering ability, braking traction and overall grip. For grip in the mud this tyre is the best! Riding clips and footage from trails and races are inserted throughout the vlog and since we are in the UK there's no shortage of mud!
Tyres:
2.6 Michelin Wild Enduro Gum-x Front 27.5
2.4 Michelin Wild Enduro Magi-x Front 27.5
2.4 Michelin Wild Enduro Gum-x TS TLR Rear 27.5
It's pretty hard to find "the best" all round enduro mtb tyre as they all perform in different conditions but for me I think I've found it! Having ridden it through some of the hardest conditions in all seasons I've been well impressed with the grip on all terrain and trails, especially on the mud.
When we first went onto these we had wanted a change from Maxxis tyres for a long time but were always defaulting to our Maxxis Shorty up front and Maxxis High Roller or Minion DHF on the rear. We struggled to find an alternative for the harsh UK conditions and wanted a tyre that would perform well on dry loose rocky terrain but also on wet roots and the muddiest of days. Now we've got it!
