The Scott Spark is one of the best known Cross Country race bikes around due to its longevity and unique design. For 2022 the Swiss brand has doubled down on that design by adding a seamless integrated rear shock.
How does this rear suspension shock affect performance? BikeRadar’s Technical Writer Tom Marvin rides the Scott Spark RC Team Issue AXS and tells you his live ride impressions in this in-depth review.
The Spark features geometry that you’d expect of a modern race bike but unusually for a cross country mountain bike it features 120mm travel at both the front and rear.
In terms of specification the Scott Spark RC has SRAM’s GX Eagle AXS drivetrain. A wireless groupset at the top of the range, with a performance that has impressed everyone at BikeRadar who has had the chance to ride it.
What do you think of the Scott Spark RC? Is the shock a change for the better or a needless piece of integration? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section!
