How to correct the forward jump in the Snatch in a commercial gym.
When you find yourself falling forward in the Snatch and having to catch the bar like in this first clip, then you won’t be able to reach heavier weights.
The agricultural approach as shown in this video is a simple fix that can be done anywhere and all it involves is using a pre-existing line on the floor and using some tape. Preferably don’t use something raised as you’ll fall over and that’s 100% not my fault.
- find your fault
- use the line on the floor
- focus on shifting the feet sideways and dropping under the bar
- improve your balance and ability to use heavier weights
