Antique Film Gallery believes, that the history does matter. While having modern tools to make old stock footage to look like more realistic, we may be able to recognize our past, understand it better and maybe we can choose our future choices a little judiciously.
The American Civil War was fought during 1861-1865. The circa 2.1 million Civil War veterans were very visible members of post-war society. They were examples of perseverance and loyalty, like many of all war veterans anywhere, also they were often troubled by post-traumatic stress and physical disabilities. The American Civil War veterans were photographed during at various events, like just sitting at a studio, or during the many reunions in post-war. The video here is about portraits of the unidentified American Civil War veterans, old black'n white photographs being colorized.
