Mercedes-Benz have just released a major update to the UK for cars with MBUX called Dashcam!

As long as your car is compatible, you can now head over to the Mercedes me Store and purchase a new service called Mercedes Dashcam. This new dashcam feature records at 720p and is entirely built into the car, all you need is to purchase the Mercedes me service and a USB memory stick (and maybe a dongle).

Requirements For Dashcam:
MBUX Multimedia System (Generation 1 or Generation 2)
MBUX Augmented Reality for Navigation (Code U19)
FU3 Update (MBUX multimedia system software update completed at a Mercedes-Benz Workshop. This may be chargeable, please check with your local Mercedes-Benz).
Purchased Mercedes me Dashcam Service
USB Memory Stick

This service is very country specific and is not available everywhere. Sign into your Mercedes me account and head to the store to check compatibility with your Mercedes-Benz. This is designed to work with Augmented Reality and MBUX, this will not work the 360° camera option.

🚨PLEASE ALSO NOTE🚨
1) This Dashcam service does not record automatically at the start of each journey, you will need to start it every time so factor this in BEFORE making a purchase.

2) If you're using the Augmented Reality Dashcam, MBUX can only read one memory stick at a time so other functions on USB ports will be unavailable as they will only provide power.

To enable playback on your computer, you may need to convert the file format from .mp4 to .mov.
