Specialized's First Gear program made its debut appearance at the 2011 Sea Otter Classic. With the goal of getting every kid on a bike, First Gear provided kids with a place to ride, demo bikes, and fun activities at the event. First Gear also helped young girls attend the Little Bellas mountain bike camp through donation-driven scholarships.
