Hammertoe is identified as a toe that bends or curls downward instead of pointing forward and occurs when there is an imbalance of muscles, tendons, and ligaments that normally keep the toe straight. As a minor treatment option physicians often tape patients' toes to keep them in the correct position. This is difficult for the patient to do without assistance and is uncomfortable and time-consuming. Tuli's HammerRX was designed by a leading certified orthopedic surgeon to replace taping and provide better and more comfortable results.
