After heavy rain, we decided to run the lower section of the Chirripo Pacifico, and with all other classic runs in high water conditions we set off to do some exploring. We thought it could be an interesting idea to check out the coastal streams, in lesser paddled areas so we headed to the touristic town of Uvita. Full of surfers, but very few kayakers around. Through satellite imagery we found a small river called the Rio Morete, and after drone scouting, finding access and a take out, and making sure there weren't any crocodiles, we decided this would be a good option. It turned out to be a first descent after talking to the local paddlers so we were pretty stoked to have opened up this new section in Costa Rica which provided multiple small slides and fun boofs, it could've taken more water, but we had the right water level to explore, enjoy!
