The majority of times I shoot with videographers, we save it for the consistent, long period swell days. It always gives us more opportunity to film and we can casually make our way down to the beach everytime. When the long period south swells hit California, most are above 14 second periods and last for days. Based on feedback and talking to others, that is not the case for most surfers around the world. Most are surfing short period wind swell under 12 seconds, and usually that requires being there during the peak of the swell and always hunting the best conditions. About a week back, we scored this epic off season West wind swell. The near shore buoys were approximately 6 feet at 8 - 10 seconds. So I thought it was important to film this session as it may be more relevant to many of you around the world!!! Hope you enjoy these clips!!! I have another How To Episode coming out next week! Thanks everyone!
