The Stone Pony is an original pattern of mine that I came up with to represent the smaller Golden Stoneflies I frequently see. Stoneflies have a 3 year life cycle, so not every bug you see is large. Size 14s (and even 16s) are very common. I have had ton of success when I fish this smaller stonefly pattern. It has become my go-to stonefly pattern.
Spin some up and I feel like you will have similar success.

Ribbing: UTC Ultra wire, Sculpin Olive (or Brown), size BR
