'Medicare Jeff' here, with a short update on Medicare Part A, and how it applies to spouses or stay-at-home spouses who may not have worked the sufficient number of quarters to qualify for Part A. Typically, you must work 40 quarters or 10 years during which you've paid Medicare taxes to qualify for the Part A component of Original Medicare, however Medicare has a really interesting feature that allows stay at home spouses to borrow the working spouse’s 40 quarters so the stay at home spouse can also qualify for the Part A component of Original Medicare and be eligible for the Part B component...there's a form for that! We can help, then we’d suggest you add a few additional complementary packages. Check us out at www.MedicareJeff.com and contact us to be your guide through the Medicare maze. There is never a fee for our service.
