For the first ride of my new SCOTT Addict Gravel, I took it up to Ballater to ride through the Cairngorms. Aberdeenshire has become my new go to place for MTB’ing, it’s natural handout trails are the style of riding I love. This time though, I was tasked to discover the region on my new SCOTT Addict gravel bike with no suspension and relatively skinny tyres I planned out a route using komoot, 114km over 1400m of climbing. It linked up some of my favourite MTB locations, some natural beauty spots and of course some coffee shops!
