The Romanian’s mother, Carmen Tocala, is a former international player and coach who is now president of the Romanian Basketball Federation. And his stepfather, Petre Branisteanu, is also a former national team player. So it’s no surprise to hear that Vlad’s life was built around basketball from a very young age.
