There are a myriad of combination finishes on the market. Some good, some bad. All are expensive. This is a user made combination finish that I learned while working at a high end custom furniture shop in Chicago, Illinois.
This finish offers the beauty and texture of an oil finish with the durability and warm sheen of a varnish. It far outshines virtually all pure and combination finishes on the market in both appearance and price. Some combinations are priced at well over $5 per ounce!!
What’s more is it a simple wipe-on wipe-off procedure that even the most novice woodworker can apply and enjoy. In this video we’ll start with the basics of a professional finish, sanding. Sanding to the right grit and sanding dust removal is paramount to any finish and especially important with oil finishes requirement.
