Australian swimmers Molly O’Callaghan and Ariane Titmus won gold and silver respectively in women’s 200m freestyle. 17-year-old Canadian, Summer McIntosh won gold in women’s 400m individual medley. David Popovici won the men’s 200m freestyle and bagged Romania’s first gold of Paris 2024. Italy’s Thomas Ceccon won gold in men’s 100m backstroke while South Africa’s Tatjana Smith won the women’s 100m breaststroke final.
