Netflix plans to spend US$2.5 billion in South Korea to groom the next generation of entertainers. The streaming giant will work with local organisations to identify young talent over the next four years. Netflix has spent more than US$1 billion developing shows since entering South Korea in 2016. The country is one of Netflix’s biggest suppliers of TV shows and films, with viewing time for these programmes growing six-fold in just four years.
