Is the era of the big 3 over in the NBA. Today’s feature is of an element of basketball that became a phenomenon in the league Since the late 2000s and changed the landscape of what it meant to win a championship in the previous generations. Of course there’s always been big 3s in the NBA Russell Havlicek Cousy, Magic Kareem Worthy, Rodman, Scottie Michael, Duncan Ginobli Parker. But let’s focus on the most recent generation from the late 2000s to where we are now, as the resurgence of its popularity returned and influenced a decade to now in an era where having a big 3 seems almost extinct. With the lakers all but crumblings in 2022 under the expectations of their big 3 to begin its dominance, the Brooklyn Nets big three going down in the semi finals of last year’s playoffs and James Harden leaving for greener pastures this year, it might be time to put the era of the big 3 to the side for the time being as the NBA takes new shape.
