This nuke egg pattern is a great egg imitation for Salmon or Great Lakes Steelhead. This egg pattern is super easy to tie and a great fly pattern for beginner fly tiers. Egg patterns are highly effective trout and steelhead fly patterns when dead drifted with weight under an indicator rig. I've used this egg pattern extensively this year (2017) and have had alot of success landing many Great Lakes Steelhead on this egg pattern.
