For the first time, playoffs are coming to the AMA racing calendar starting in September via the SuperMotocross (SMX) World Championship. The total combined points from Monster Energy AMA Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross will be used to create playoff seeding for 30 riders in each class (450 and 250) for a three-round championship offering $5.5 million.
