Ever wonder how's walleye detect prey? They use three different things, Visual vibration and scent of smell. Walleye has excellent eyesight therefore they are rely on visual more than the other two, but during the high and muddy water, visibility drop below 2 inches or so, now the visual becomes pretty much useless, because of that walleye have to rely on vibration and scent of smell to detect prey.
All twitter tails will make vibration in to the water, but not all have scent, so you can add scent to your lure, by doing that it will gave you huge advantage in the muddy water condition. It will create a scent trail enlarged your strike zone. And 2rd advantage is when fish grab your lure it will taste the scent you put in on, will tend to hold on little bit longer, that Will give you more time to set the hook, help you put more fish onto your stringer.
