From the vault! Today (2020 maybe?) RCW goes back in time to bring you a lesson on the arm bar from technical mount.

In fact, the "S" mount position is present in a lot of arm bar variations from the top position. In the beginning, making the shift to be perpendicular to your opponent can feel weak, but it's actually a very strong position once you gain understanding of these details.
